Daily Routine

8:15 – 9:00: Breakfast Club

Breakfast club, toast and juice.

9:00 – 9:30: Free Play

Free play to encourage team work, social development and problem solving. Toast is also provided.

9:30 – 10:00: Circle Time

Story time and circle time. Circle time is where we plan our day and discuss the days activities. We also go through the calendar, the weather and the children's news. It is a time for the children to share their thoughts, communicate with the group and listen to the peers.

10:00 – 11:30: Montessori work

Montessori work, and daily activities to develop early literacy, numeracy, pre-writing skills and cognitive development.

11:30 – 12:00: Lunch

Mindfulness minute and lunch time, the children bring in their own lunch and a drink. This helps the children to prepare for their transition into primary school. We help the children learn to open their lunches, their yoghurts and drinks. We also encourage the children to talk to their friends during this time and help them to develop their social skills. The children are encouraged to have a few minutes of library time to read through books themselves when they are finished their lunch.

12:00 – 13:00: Daily Activities

Daily activities including childhood games (musical chairs, what time is it Mr. Wolf?, duck, duck, goose), obstacle courses, yoga, speech therapy, drama (we have two plays a year, Christmas and Summer time), Stretch and Grow physical exercise program, forest school activities, arts and crafts, planting, seasonal activities and nature walks.
